I'm posting now just to test the waters a bit. I really hope this goes over well, since I'm not too sure about my own writing...but I've been working on this a while.

Title: Whether You Love Me...

Pairings: GTOP, Gri
Summary: Jiyong and Seunghyun are talented, honors students, and, foremost, know each other like they know themselves. But why is it that when Seungri moves in with Jiyong's family, suddenly nothing certain anymore? What does Seungri, this unsure boy, mean to Jiyong and Seunghyun?

They met in the beginning of the school year, still a little shy, still a little young and scared. But it wasn’t long before Jiyong learned that underneath the tall, handsome figure, Seunghyun was really just a nice guy. He was nice in everything that he did; and he was good at everything he did. He looked imposing, but his handsome frown just hid the deep thoughts he pondered. His gaze might have been dark to people, but really he was trying not to show his weaknesses to everyone around him.

 

It was only Jiyong who was able to see through this stony, strong façade. It was only Jiyong who was allowed to break through the icy exterior. And it all started almost as if by fate, as if someone had seen how two souls could fit each other like missing pieces in a jumbled up enigma. And it felt perfect and right, even before Jiyong realized he had fallen dangerously in love.

 

Jiyong had just been playing around then, that one time they had to stay after at the academy together. They had been held back by the head instructor who wanted to talk to them about attending an honors seminar. Seunghyun had looked surly and uncertain; Jiyong had been equally unsure. They were sitting in the waiting room wondering what was going on.

 

And when Jiyong muttered about ‘useless teacher, fucking dick making me stay behind, I want to watch DBZ at home…’ Seunghyun had taken him seriously. He laughed suddenly, a deep, sexy-sounding laugh. Jiyong looked up, amazed at the sound. The stern, cold older boy suddenly looked so incredibly…cute when he laughed like that. He looked less like a gangster and more like a young high school student in on a joke. Jiyong looked at him laughing through his long bangs and blushed when Seunghyun looked over.

 

“You sound so serious about your DBZ,” Seunghyun said with a shy grin, “It was kind of cute.”

 

“Wh-who are you calling cute?” Jiyong stuttered, “You-you calling me a girl?”

 

“Hell no, big man,” Seunghyun poked his tongue out, “I’d never dare to do that, not to the guy who fixes his hair after lunch every day.”

 

“What!” Jiyong turned blazing red, “Shut up! Don’t even say anything else!”

 

There was a silence while the Jiyong tried to stop blushing and Seunghyun relaxed with his hands in his pockets, gently blowing the hair out of his eyes. Suddenly Jiyong sat up straighter.

 

“Hey! You bastard have you been watching me?!” Jiyong shouted with accusation.

 

Seunghyun shrugged and gave another amazing grin that completely blew Jiyong away, “I’m shutting up, right?” he laughed.

 

Jiyong got really irritated then, both embarrassed and annoyed that anyone dared to mock him, and did something he’d never have done to anyone. Usually with people he was suave and cool, but with Seunghyun it was like his most unpredictable side came to the surface. He fisted his hand and struck out as if to punch the other boy, but Seunghyun caught the movement in the corner of his eye. He reached up, faster than Jiyong could see, and grabbed Jiyong’s wrist.

 

Seunghyun’s grin was hauntingly beautiful, both shy and assertive at once, “So what? You’re going to hit everyone who watches you?  You’ll be hitting a lot of people at this academy; everyone watches you. But me, I’m the only one who’s gonna do something about it.”

 

“What are you going to do--” Jiyong stuttered even though he had a good idea. But he couldn’t stop himself, couldn’t even find the strength to stop Seunghyun. The older boy twined their fingers together and leaned closer. Jiyong closed his eyes, Seunghyun’s long bangs tickling his face, and kissed Seunghyun.

 

It was like two puzzle pieces fitting together perfectly in the chaos of uncertainty. Like moonlight spilling brilliantly across a dark void; like kissing someone who belonged to you but you didn’t ever know it. His lips felt soft and tasted sweet, like vanilla and dark sensuous smoke. It was like he was drowning, and all this from just a kiss from another boy! Jiyong jerked back, moaned even though he had to move away.

 

“You,” he whispered and saw how Seunghyun was watching him patiently, “How…” he wanted to yell and scream because he never knew that he was like this with guys. But all that came out, when he looked down at his fingers was a soft, “How did you know?” he blushed, if possibly, redder.

 

Seunghyun’s smile was back as he leaned forward again and lifted Jiyong’s face with a soft touch, “I told you, right? I’ve been watching you, but now I’m not afraid of doing something about it.”

 

Jiyong moaned when Seunghyun kissed him again and put his strong hands around Jiyong’s waist, “Why…afraid?” Seunghyun’s hand slipped upwards.

 

“Because, because you’re too…” Seunghyun hesitated, “You’re really gorgeous.” He looked away.

 

Jiyong’s jaw dropped and his eyes widened. He turned as red as tomato. “I didn’t even know…”

 

“Neither did I,” suddenly the head instructor’s voice came from the office door. He was standing there, looking faintly disgusted, “And frankly I don’t ever want to know. I hope you two are done…with your perversions…outside my office?” he frowned at them. They both jumped back away from each other. Jiyong’s ears burned with embarrassment and Seunghyun glared at the head instructor.

 

“Boys,” his lip curled at Jiyong as if he was muck on the ground, “Ha. Well, I was going to offer you some information into the honors seminar. But it looks like you’ll have to try again next year. All of our spots just filled up so too bad.” He  shrugged and slammed the door in their faces.

 

Seunghyun stared at the door with anger and Jiyong still felt like his ears were burning on fire. Seunghyun grabbed Jiyong’s wrist and pulled them out of their seats, “Fuck this! My dad’s on the board! He’ll hear about this and have this dickwad’s ass fired!”

 

Jiyong let Seunghyun pull him out of the waiting room and into the grand halls of their institution. He grinned anyways and stopped Seunghyun’s angry storm. He pulled Seunghyun down for a kiss, “Hey, leave him alone, love,” he grinned, “Anyways, I didn’t even want to watch DBZ.” He kissed Seunghyun again.

 

Seunghyun grinned and his anger cooled, like as Jiyong was the medicine to all of his aches, “Okay baby. But you say the word, and I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you get to watch your cartoons.”

 

Jiyong laughed and hugged Seunghyun closer, “Thanks babe.” Because he believed him fully. He knew Seunghyun’s strong arms would always be there around him, to protect him, to keep his fears far away. Because Seunghyun had his own weaknesses around Jiyong, had his own faults, and they would protect each other. They were all they needed.

 

At least that’s what Jiyong thought, until his mom invited a friend’s son over.
